Indeed, they are made to fit 22 mm lug size and that they do. However, these are 27 mm end to end bars when fully opened and fit snugly (nice and tight) in a 22 mm lug space. Once in place some people might find them to be especially difficult when trying to remove them. While, this may cause trouble some I have to say I was told 30 years ago by a very respected watchmaker of his time, and again yesterday by the most honored watchmaker visiting our store alive at this time that..."a hard to remove springs bars is a good thing...and that cutting them out is something they do on a regular basis after installing for safety an extra large bar in the first place". I have been able to install this bar in a 22 lug size case without a strap and then remove the bar in 4 seconds. Off course I do not install and remove spring bars for a living, however I have been doing it for 44 years now and have had a lot changes to practice this task.
